General

Established in 1946, Fung Kuei is the largest duty free store in Vanuatu. We are a family owned and operated business. The store is named after the founder who arrived in Port Vila in 1934. Read his story here.

Our range includes spirits, fragrances, sunglasses, watches, sporting goods and many more - at the best duty free prices.

Fung Kuei is located in downtown Port Vila by the waterfront.

Our iconic yellow building is within walking distance from Port Vila's famous markets.

Driving from Port Vila Bauerfield International Airport or Port Vila Wharf takes about 10 minutes in light traffic.

We are open 8:00am - 5:00pm when there is a cruise ship visiting Port Vila.

Duty free shopping means you can purchase goods exempt from local duties and taxes that are applied in Vanuatu.

You can purchase goods at duty free prices by showing your valid travel itinerary or cruise card when you shop at Fung Kuei.

Orders

You may purchase quantities as per the allowances of your transit or final destination. If you exceed your allowance, customs may confiscate and/or require to pay extra duties and taxes.

To ensure you don’t exceed your allowances, check the allowances at your transit or destination country - visit the IATA Travel Centre website

After completing security and immigration control checks, please proceed to the duty free collection desk, located near the boarding gate.

We advise you to purchase at least 48 hours prior to your departure time to allow sufficient time for our team to deliver duty free purchases to the airport.

All deliveries are free of charge.

Payments

When shopping at Fung Kuei you may pay using cash (VATU, AUD) or credit card with Visa and MasterCard.

When shopping at Fung Kuei, we do not apply any surcharges to any credit card purchases. However your bank may charge fees such as an international transaction fee on your payment. Please check with your bank prior to using your card.

Visa and MasterCard credit card payments are charged in Australia dollars (AUD).
